Nga Son
Nga Son district is known for many famous traditional crafts and villages. Besides promoting its beautiful handicraft, the village also aims to use these products for the purpose of uplifting hard-working citizens and help attracting investors as well as creating more jobs for the people.

Currently, in Nga Son district, there are 4 main traditional occupations including sedge mat weaving, bamboo and rattan craft, handicrafts and wine making; with 23 craft villages recognized by the Provincial People's Committee (20 sedge mat weaving villages, 1 bamboo and rattan craft village, 2 winemaking craft villages). Traditional products are increasingly diverse in types, designs and packaging. Moreover, the consumption market has been expanded, bringing traditional local products to many regions in the country.

However, in recent years traditional products are becoming less and less popular as customers tend to spend their money on modern items. In order to sustain the lives of these artisans as well as support the development of craft villages and traditional crafts,\ Nga Son district has built industrial zones and clusters of craft villages to help households have premises to expand production. Up to now, the district has built 3 inter-commune industrial clusters and craft villages, with a total area of over 60 hectares. In the period of 2021-2025, the development of craft villages and traditional craft villages continues to receive special attention from Nga Son district. The major incentives to boost these products are: focus on training human resources, strengthening trade promotion, searching for product consumption markets, building trademarks of geographical indications and collective marks for traditional craft villages and professions, expanding the scale, applying technical and technological advances to production... By 2025, each commune will have at least one craft village; creating jobs and stable income for over 15,000 employees.
